RE: Early TV in The USA

Here is an example of an early TV show in the USA. It is a classic. This particular show comes from the Sit Com: The Goldbergs.

I am familiar with I Love Lucy. However I never heard of The Goldbergs until tonight.

To me it is not laugh out loud funny. But it is relatively entertaining.

The plot line is about a lady who thinks she can interpret the dreams of others because her daughter is studying to be a psychologist.

Gertrude Berg is the creator and acts as the main character, Molly Goldberg in this sit com.

Remember this is a sample of the humor of the 1950's in the United States.

RE: Cougars? What S'Up?

Used to be that cougar was a four legged cat found in the Americas. Now it has a whole different meaning. Older women prowling and being involved with younger, sometimes a lot younger men. Well as long as the men are of age and the women are cognizant what of it? There does seem to be more popular acceptance of this type of relationship.

Below is a video that I ran into on MSN Today. Van Der Sloot the young man who allegedly killed a young woman in Peru wants to make a deal. That is understandable. His father is no longer here so now Van Der Sloot must use other means to help himself. Look at the video and see for yourself what is up with Van der  Sloot. (Article continues after video)

Interesting enough, Van der Sloots mother now claims that he is mentally ill. What does she mean by mentally ill? Is he paranoid schizophrenic, bipolar or what. I am no psychiatrist or expert in the field of psychology but could it be that This young man is just a plain old fashion social-path or psychopath?  In any case, mother says he needs psychiatric help. Well if he is a social-path, forget the psychiatric help. It will not help according to psychiatrists. In any case, is it becoming apparent that Van der Sloot needs to be considered a clear and apparent danger to society.


The following is a video of what Van der Sloot's mother has to say. Perhaps his mother should talk with Menninger's of the USA to see if it is a good idea to give this young man psychiatric help or if it is better to just lock him up for life or at least to keep him under close supervision.


It is difficult when this occurs in the family and its a family blood relation that is a sociopath, indeed one's own child, there are other things to consider. Such as:

• Should this person be released onto society?
•  Is psychiatric help really going to help or just create a bigger problem?
•  Is it better just to keep this person comfortabably locked up in a secure situation where they cannot harm another person or people?

In any case, I for one am delighted to not be Van der Sloot's mom. I do not condemn her however. From what I have read and been told sociopaths are very difficult to deal with.

Van der Sloot's mom should take heart and courage in the knowledge that she is not alone. This can happen in any family.

RE: BP Saga Continues

The British Petroleum debacle continues. The CEO is before the USA congressional investigation committee. He looks very contrite.

Apparently BP officials somewhere in the company thought it was worth the risk to save a few million dollars or so. I bet those parts they skimped on look pretty good right now.

According to the history of British Petroleum on FundingUniverse.com British Petroleum endeavors to have open communication between the different levels within the company. Apparently someone is not aware of part of the cooperate mission because on Fox news today the CEO repeatedly said he did know the answers to some pretty rudimentary questions.

I wonder how all of this is going to impact the world. There is more involved here than Britain and USA interests.

Why doesn't BP swallow its pride and ask the other oil companies and USA government to help it. There seems to be quite a bit of problem with BP trying to make a go on its own.

Personally I sympathize with BP investors and employees but the people along the coast and the rest of the world is suffering and going to suffer more.

BP officials took a gamble, a gamble with chips and money that was not theirs to use or gamble. They gambled the environment, the welfare and health of people not just along the coastline but the entire world, the animals and their investors money. Now the piper will be paid regardless of whether BP bites the bullet or not.
Unfortunately it the price will cost everyone.

There's a book about the history British Petroleum below. Next to it is another one that is titled Don't Go Near The Water. Both should make for interesting reading.

I also noticed that Amazon has a sweat shirt or long sleeve shirt that says save the Gulf Coast. There is also a short sleeve shirt available. It is worded rather strongly too. The shirts are none to flattering for British Petroleum.

Personally I reserve judgement on BP. Why because it is easy for me to see how hypnotic profit can be. After all, who would have thought this would happen? Certainly not the British or the Europeans. Certainly not the Americans that are supposed to do the inspections.

RE: Getting Carried Away

Everyone wants their say or day of fame. Sometimes people get carried away. 

Anger makes people do things in a thoughtless way. Young people may have too much power. Below is an idea of what happens when teeny boppers get too much power.


Cell phones, computers, etc unsupervised use by children puts too much power in the young's reach. Then someone gets hurt. Below is a video of what is happening with more and more frequency. Now three young people's lives are ruined by to much power and thoughtless use of it.


Maybe all of mankind should think before acting. These electronic devices are useful but should be used with wisdom.

RE: New ISP & Income Tax in The Ole USA

Well I am using Road Runner light. I will let you know how that works out. So far so good. I just got it yesterday. There is a little trouble with IE but Opera and Google Chrome work just fine.

I am still having trouble getting Yahoo Instant Messenger to download. I have contacted the help department.

Finally got Gimp to download. Gimp is a graphics software that is comparable to more expensive software. Gimp is freeware.

Gimp has free tutorials on the internet. I am planning to try those out also.

Below is a publisher comparable to MS Desktop Publisher.The name is PagePlus X3 Publisher Professional. It is a lot cheaper though. CorelDraw is a pay for graphics creation software. There are two examples of the pay for software you can use.

I just threw in the Discovery Kids Digital Photo Pendant for fun. It would make a nice Mother's Day Pendant. A picture of the family could go in the photo part. It is also nice for birthdays, anniversaries or just to give a nice gift. Better yet get the make your own charms for a charm bracelet. By the way, are you late in getting your taxes made? Well I got mine in early for this year. I am talking about the USA by the way. I paid someone to do mine. It is worth it to do that. I should learn how to make out taxes though. Turbo Tax is popular software that is out. I put a link to the Amazon software because if you have not made out your taxes yet you can download this software and get it made out. 

Your Income Tax 2010 may help with some information on how to make out your taxes for the USA and states. There is also Small Business Taxes 2010. Both books are reasonably priced can help with your taxes.

  By the way, there are some states where you do not have to pay state income tax. Must be nice, huh?

I just read what is to me one of the scariest stories ever. This one insurance company is targeting AIDS patients. Apparently their care is too expensive. I understand the insurance companies viewpoint. They want to lower the costs of their services. If they have to pay out a lot for services rendered then there goes the profits. Here is an idea. Plus the company can invest in the cures, methods, etc. and make a tidy profit for share holders. How does that sound?

Something Great!

Normally the term used on this site is cool. IToons however qualifies as great. It has a free download section that is worth visiting. There sometimes so much stuff that this author lacks the time to download it.

Admittedly sometimes IToons lacks a lot of freebies. Other times, though, it is overloaded. Today is just one of those days.

Why not try it out just for the fun of it? There are a lot of free videos, music etc.

My goal is to think of ways to make my sites more interesting. WebSpeak Ezine will publish any GP web content for singers, bands, computer game creators, movie makers to publish their work. There is form mail on the Contact Page. HTML is accepted. Plus a request for a form to submit attachments is available through this form mail.

Eventually my goal is to start web broadcasting. It would be live TV, movies, etc. It looks like everything will eventually migrate to the web.

Sometimes it is difficult to know what to do. However there is some success on my part in making money on the internet.

There are also ways to make money at home. Research on this subject area will be reported soon in WebSpeak Ezine.


There are some free e-cards in the e-card section of WebSpeak Ezine. Be sure and drop by there to take a look. Sound may be added to these e-cards.

RE: Another Sunday And Day Light Savings Time.

Did everyone in USA remember to reset their clock. I didn't. That made me an hour late for everything. Oh well. I never did see the reasoning behind this. It is such a bother. Why not just start the day sooner and then later. This resetting of the clock for daylight savings time makes no sense to me.

My leg is slowly healing. My appreciation for any positive prayers.

I have been wondering if there is a limit to how many free blogs we can put on blogger. Does anyone out there know? I guess I should look it up.

My experiment with Google Adsense is working out pretty good. Take a look at the ads. I am thinking of adding a meditation link to one of my sites. It will come with words, music etc.

RE: What I Am Doing Now on March 02, 2010

Most of my day is just one big goof off time. My primary occupation today is getting trash ready for pick up tomorrow and reading the news in Yahoo.com.

In the article titled:Haiti judge not ready to release 2 US missionaries, the information is that there are two American citizens who say they are missionaries. They are in Haiti because they made an unauthorized attempt to take some children out of the country after its recent earthquake. Taking children like this sounds kind. but it is really very foolish because this is something that could give pedophiles ideas.

Then my reading continues with  AP IMPACT: Drug gangs taking over US public lands. Apparently the drug cartels of Mexico and South America think they have a right to take any land or whatever they want.  This is going to get very nasty before it gets any better.

RE: What Is New!

I just finished working on a web site,Cubley Inc., for the son of a friend of mine. It is nothing elaborate. Just a simple website to start. I am still not too happy with the color combination but it is better than nothing. There is a Contact Us page,home page, site map page(I really like this one. It encourages higher ranking on the internet browsers. Why I do not know. The purpose of this web site is to introduce the business and to give people a place where they can get contact information or can communicate with Cubley Inc.

The idea is to keep robots from sending trash mail. They comb sites for yourname@provider.com's. So the best thing is to list the email as your name at provider or yourname at yahoo.com something like that. This slows down spam and trash mail. The contact page also has form mail. This makes it easier to contact a business. There is no need to go to a mail box. Just email directly from the site. Phone numbers are included. Address can be included but people can also email for that information. Now-in-days, I wonder if it is a better idea to let the public email or phone for addresses? I decided to give the business address on this particular site.

I chose Microsoft Office Web Sites for this particular site. One reason for this particular provider is that it has a lot of storage and ability to edit other material that is connected with the business. This is handy because I made fliers and business cards to go with the site. Eventually I will post examples of these on my own site.

I could have included animation. Animation takes a long time to download though. A business site should download rapidly. There will eventually be a slide show or pictures posted on a separate page in the site.

There is also a section that posts the comments made by previous customers. There is already one comment made and there are more to come.

Well here is a thought. Unkindness to any people or life form brings a curse to all involved in causing hurt and pain to a person who is different in any way. That means albino or other wise.

Albinism has nothing to do with luck. It is the genetic makeup of an individual. The genes are supposedly inherited from both parents. This does not mean a person is inferior, lucky or unlucky.

However, causing pain to an individual may bring disaster to those who are the cause of the pain. History proves all too often that is true. Just look at history records for Ancient Rome and Nazi Germany. The Tanzanian witch doctors and others involved should learn from this before it is too late for them.


If the witch doctors and others involved want to be prosperous and lucky, then they need to be kind to their fellow creatures. This includes all albinos. This is especially true for those albinos that are humans.


As a end note, Tanzanians and all people remember that to be truly safe, free, prosperous with a bright future, then it is well to wish all well and be kind to all. What is truly beneficial to one is beneficial to all. So witch doctors and others the world around, now is a good time to be kind to your neighbor. Tomorrow may be too late! Be warned!

A great tragedy transpires. A young doctor is dead. I am not taking sides. Can we really spare the intelligent now? Who knows what the truth is? I for one do not I am not there. I just know that supposedly the average IQ for doctors is 140 or better. We need more intelligent people in this world. Especially in medicine. It is a tragedy to lose this young man, for whatever reason.

RE: Why Revolt?

The recent developments across the globe have got me to thinking. This is a climatic thing me thinking.

I am thinking why do people revolt? Why are there revolutions against governments and leaders rather than evolution of governments and leaders. Evolution is more in harmony with the universe. Change by evolution is natural. Revolution is painful, not always successful, very costly(Esp. in human life). The more successful societies actually evolve rather than revolt. The more sucessful organisms evolve.

Plunging Shares GM's German-traded
shares fell 7.9 percent to the equivalent of $2.57 as of 11:09 a.m. in Frankfurt. GM has plunged 89 percent this year in New York
trading. Ford shares rose 3.2 percent in Germany. The stock has declined 81 percent this year in the U.S.

Now some of the top CEO's of the USA auto industry went to congress for a talk this week. According to Yahoo News they took private jets. As a matter of fact these auto companies own a fleet of jets.Hmmmm? Knowledge of this situation seems to present a problem to at least one congressman. To quote Yahoo News:

Democrats Gary Ackerman of New York and Bradley Sherman
of California criticized the auto chiefs for taking private jets to Washington to plead their case.

In addition, it is also suggested by some congressmen that maybe the auto executives need to take a deduction in salary or defer their salaries for a year. Yes, dear readers do keep in mind that these executives are making millions of dollars while their employees, at least some, are wondering if they have the prospects of having a job tomorrow.

To the executives at Ford, GM etc., good thinking guys taking private jets to congress. Why couldn't you go first class? Just how much do you care about your employees and your companies. Do you care enough to tighten your own belts a bit. Would you be willing to forfeit some of your salary to help the USA's economy and the world's thereby helping yourselves? I bet if one of your employees had this poor of reasoning they would get fired or at least a warning. What do you think Mr. Executive?

This information is all over the news. Really makes these executives look good. Wonder if the stockholders in these companies have enough sense to call an emergency meeting and do a little house cleaning. Most of the information in this blog is from Yahoo News. So to close this facetiously, the world's economy is in good hands with executives like those in the banking and auto industry. Have no fear Mr. and Ms. World Citizen, your future is in good hands of caring leaders who have your best interest at heart!

I just wonder how many of these executives have really started from the ground up in a company. Did they all just step out of college into high paying jobs without the practical experience of building from the ground up or what. Remember the guy who saved the Chrysler company not too long ago? I believe he started as a salesmen. Yup just a lowly salesman. Makes one wonder, doesn't it? As for the author of this blog, well I probably would have as poor a performance record as these executives that may have contributed to this international economic debacle. I think there is a lot to say for starting at the bottom and working one's way up the ladder. How can they possibly know what it is to be one of the little people? How could they possibly know how to balance a budget and plan for bad times if they have never had to do so. Yes, it is obvious what makes this mess the world is in now. Ignorance is the main contributor.

Yet, I would really like to hear the explanations of these executives' actions from themselves. They probably think they owe no explanations. Well now, yes, they do. Take government funds be prepared to answer to the taxpayer. Guess what there are millions of us, just average citizens, who are taxpayers. Plus, if it is a publicly owned company, with stock holders, the stock holders can call an emergency meeting. They can see what can be done about getting rid of inefficient CEO's or CEO's. The one's who think it is necessary to make millions more at the expense of government and stockholders when the company is in trouble. The one's who take the millions even though they already have millions when their companies are in trouble.

Now some executives caught in this bind may say,"We did not see this coming! We had no idea! We have no control over the economy!" Well guys that is understandable. However, does it make sense to continue to live the high life when people and companies you are responsible for are hurting. If things are as dire as you say, then why not tighten your own belt a cinch or two. You could not possibly feel the pain as much as Joe Average Citizen who makes a miserly salary in comparison to yours.

RE: Great Site! A Must Read!

I have run into the neatest site. It is by this psychiatrist who has some form of dementia. He started writing it as therapy for himself. Plus he has some links to sites that re-train your brain. I do not know if these exercises make a person smarter but it is worth a try.

God bless this man for being brave enough to write about his experiences. He has something like Lewy Body Dementia or Lewy Body Disease.

It makes me feel ashame of myself. Here I am feeling sorry for myself and I do not have to go through anything like this. It is my good fortune to not be in this position yet.

RE: Aftermath of The USA 2008 Presidential Election

Well the USA Presidential Election is over. Obama is president. Everyone and their uncle seems to think he will make a great president. Time will tell.

They got annoying to some people with this campaign. Phones rang sometimes every fifteen minutes. That could turn a voter off from a candidate.

Soon some puzzles, that is jigsaw puzzles are going to be added here. See if you can work them when they show up.

RE: The Elections in The USA

Well there is a lot of talk about elections in the United States of America. This is a particularly messy election time. A lot of mud slinging has gone on.

People also do not realize that there are other political parties. The scary part is they do not get much publicity. In addition, most people believe that there are only two parties in the USA because they get most of the publicity. There are however others. Some seem like they might be pretty good if given a chance. Others seem very scary.

They have a good point. The USA is apparently controlled by the few rather than majority vote. Case in point, the bailout of the mortgage companies is a very good example. In any case, this website is well planned out. But please, do not think this comment is an endorsement of this party.

Every voter and individual should make their own decisions about which candidate and which part to support.

However, I would feel more confortable if there were more parties of national strength and capability to get a president and congressmen elected in the USA. Two promenant parties only with this capacity is quite uncomfortable for me. It sounds too much like a dictatorship.

Hey I will voluteer my services to prepare icons for the parties that do not have one. That is the parties that are pretty much none violent.

This year is almost over. It is a financial disaster for many people all over the world. Christians, Jews, Moslems and other suffer persecution. Life is going on as normal. Disaster reins and people suffer.

Exploring the Web

I am thinking of starting a section on WebSpeak Ezine that critiques web pages. People will be able to submit their opinions and to critique web pages live.

There is not much new to report. My new car is great. Runs like a dream. I just wish I could keep it clean.

It seems that people think they are anonymous on these blogs. However that is not entirely true. Blogs can be traced back to their creators. There is no such thing as a secret on the Internet. People should be careful of what they put out there on the Internet. It could hunt them forever.
